All 2026 GLS models include Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® as standard — not an add-on package. It maintains speed relative to traffic ahead, brakes to a full stop in stop-and-go conditions, and resumes automatically within 30 seconds. Active Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, PRE-SAFE®, and ATTENTION ASSIST® drowsiness detection are all also standard. With a hand-assembled 4.0L V8 biturbo featuring a Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator, AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT with RACE mode, AMG® electronic limited-slip rear differential, and AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL active suspension, the GLS 63 delivers a 4.1-second 0–60 mph time from a vehicle that weighs more than three tons and seats seven.
AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive varies torque distribution continuously across all four wheels with a precision no fixed-ratio AWD system can match.
