Three rows, all in first class — from the GLS 450's refined inline-6 to the 603-hp AMG® GLS 63. Standard AIRMATIC® suspension and DISTRONIC® on every model. Your RBM of Atlanta team is ready to help.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV doesn't ask its third-row passengers to compromise. With 34.6 inches of third-row legroom, power-adjustable second-row seats that ease entry, and standard 4-zone automatic climate control across the cabin, the GLS sets a standard that no competitor has matched in the full-size luxury segment.
For 2026, every GLS comes standard with AIRMATIC® adaptive air suspension — a feature competitors charge extra for, or don't offer at all. Every GLS also includes standard Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® radar adaptive cruise with Active Steering Assist, Burmester® Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos®, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, and the full Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment suite with twin 12.3-inch displays.
Three powertrains span a remarkable range: the 375-hp 3.0L mild hybrid inline-6 in the GLS 450, the 510-hp V8 in the GLS 580, and the hand-assembled 603-hp AMG® biturbo V8 in the AMG® GLS 63. All three models tow up to 7,700 pounds — more than virtually any luxury SUV in the segment.
Three configurations — each with the same three-row first-class cabin, AIRMATIC® suspension, and 7,700-lb towing. Choose the powertrain that matches your priorities.
The GLS 450 pairs a turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 with mild hybrid assist for responsive, refined performance — 375 hp and 369 lb-ft through 9G-TRONIC and 4MATIC® AWD. Standard 21-inch triple 5-spoke wheels, AIRMATIC® with ADS, 4-zone climate control, and the complete MBUX suite deliver comprehensive first-class capability from the base configuration. The inline-6 earns its place as the GLS of choice for families wanting the full package with a refined, fuel-friendly powertrain.
The GLS 580 steps up to a high-output 4.0L V8 biturbo with mild hybrid assist — NANOSLIDE® cylinder walls, high-pressure direct injection, and up to 21 hp of electrical assistance combine for 510 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. Standard upgrades include ADS PLUS suspension, 22-inch AMG® wheels, 5-zone automatic climate control, and Multicontour front seats with 8-position massage. The GLS 580 is the complete full-luxury, high-performance choice before the AMG® badge.
The AMG® GLS 63 is the definitive contradiction in automotive form — a 7-passenger family SUV that sprints to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Its hand-assembled 4.0L V8 biturbo with Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator produces 603 hp and 627 lb-ft through an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9-speed. AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ AWD, 5-zone climate, Exclusive Nappa leather, and a Class IV trailer hitch are all standard.

Standard features across every 2026 GLS configuration that define the Mercedes-Benz large SUV experience.
All three GLS models include AIRMATIC® as standard equipment — four-corner air springs with self-leveling, adjustable ride height, and electronically controlled damping. The system automatically lowers at highway speed, raises for rough terrain, and levels the rear when towing. The GLS 580 adds ADS PLUS for sharper dynamic response; the AMG® GLS 63 gets AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL with active hydraulic anti-roll stabilization. A feature rivals charge thousands for — standard on every GLS.
With 34.6 inches of third-row legroom, power-folding 50/50-split third-row seats, and climate vents extending to all three rows, the GLS doesn't compromise on the back two rows. Second-row power-adjusts and reclines for easy third-row entry. The optional 6-seat captain's chair configuration creates a walk-through aisle to the third row without folding a seat. This is the cabin that makes the GLS the benchmark for full-size luxury family hauling.
Every 2026 GLS includes the Burmester® Surround Sound System with 13 individually calibrated speakers and Dolby Atmos® spatial audio as standard equipment — creating a three-dimensional sound stage across all three rows. Optional: the Burmester® High-End 3D Surround Sound System with 29 individually amplified speakers for concert-hall precision. Unlike competitors who offer a basic 6-speaker system as standard, Mercedes-Benz includes a premium audio experience from the first trim level.
All three 2026 GLS models are rated to tow 7,700 pounds. The GLS 450 and GLS 580 include a standard Class III trailer hitch; the AMG® GLS 63 gets a Class IV. Trailer Stability Assist, Crosswind Assist, and AIRMATIC® self-leveling for tongue weight are all standard — helping the GLS handle boats, horse trailers, and large travel trailers through Atlanta and the North Georgia mountains without compromising the first-class cabin experience inside.
All GLS models feature the MBUX multimedia system with a 12.3-inch digital cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen side-by-side. "Hey, Mercedes" natural language voice control, MBUX Interior Assistant gesture recognition, biometric fingerprint authentication, over-the-air updates, MB Navigation, MBUX Augmented Video for Navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, wireless front-cabin charging, multiple USB-C ports, and the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus are all included as standard equipment.
Standard on all 2026 GLS models, the Surround View System composes four exterior cameras into a virtual overhead bird's-eye view for parking and low-speed maneuvering. The Transparent Hood display synthesizes camera feeds to show what's directly in front of and beneath the vehicle — invaluable for off-road use, curb navigation, and the low-speed placement you'd otherwise need a spotter for. MAGIC VISION CONTROL® heated windshield washer nozzles automatically clear the windshield before wipers activate.
KEYLESS-GO® walk-up detection and push-button starting are standard on all GLS models. Star-pattern projectors on the door handles cast three-pointed star logos onto the pavement as you approach. Power-folding side mirrors, auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors, a panoramic sunroof with auto-close rain detection, and star logo pavement projectors come standard. Soft-close doors and illuminated running boards are standard on the AMG® GLS 63.
All 2026 GLS models include Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® as standard — not an add-on package. It maintains speed relative to traffic ahead, brakes to a full stop in stop-and-go conditions, and resumes automatically within 30 seconds. Active Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, PRE-SAFE®, and ATTENTION ASSIST® drowsiness detection are all also standard. The optional Driver Assistance Package adds enhanced capabilities including a dashcam.
The AMG® GLS 63 exists to disprove a premise: that a three-row, seven-passenger family SUV cannot also be a driver's vehicle. With a hand-assembled 4.0L V8 biturbo featuring a Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator, AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT with RACE mode, AMG® electronic limited-slip rear differential, and AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL active suspension, the GLS 63 delivers a 4.1-second 0–60 mph time from a vehicle that weighs more than three tons and seats seven.
AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive varies torque distribution continuously across all four wheels with a precision no fixed-ratio AWD system can match. The AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9-speed transmission delivers manual-mode control via steering-wheel paddles or automatic lightning-fast shifts in sport modes.
Inside, the AMG® GLS 63 is furnished in Exclusive Nappa leather as standard, with 5-zone automatic climate control, multicontour front and optional rear seats with massage, AMG® Performance steering wheel, 64-color LED ambient lighting, brushed aluminum trim, AMG® illuminated door sills, a black microfiber headliner, and the full Burmester® Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos®. PRE-SAFE® PLUS — an upgrade from the PRE-SAFE® standard on the GLS 450/580 — is included as standard on the GLS 63.
