RBM of Atlanta is a JD Power 2026 Dealer of Excellence for the Customer Sales Experience for 9 Consecutive Years. We are extremely proud to be the first Mercedes-Benz dealership to earn the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and now the 2026 Dealer of Excellence distinction from JD Power.  We’ve attained Diamond status! Diamond status is awarded to those dealerships that have earned the Dealer of Excellence for FIVE or more consecutive years. We’re very proud to be in this exclusive club. The JD Power Dealer of Excellence ProgramSM reflects the commitment and dedication of select retailers to provide their customers with a purchase experience that meets today’s consumer expectations.

Not all dealerships can qualify. Those that do must pass a rigorous process:

First, JD Power limits the percentage of eligible dealerships by nameplate based on each brand’s performance in the most recent JD Power Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study.SM Only about 20% of franchised dealerships are eligible for consideration under the JD Power Dealer of Excellence Program.

Second, interested dealerships must rank among their brand’s top performers in key customer satisfaction areas consistent with measurements found in JD Power’s Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) StudySM.

Finally, once a dealer passes the initial screening, U.S. and Canada JD Power Dealer of Excellence applicants must complete, and pass, an in-dealership process verification, which focuses on eleven (11) JD Power Best Practices. Passing dealers must be able to demonstrate a minimum of nine (9) out of the eleven (11) criteria.

Dealers of Excellence who achieve certification for multiple years are identified as follows:

  • 2 Years: Silver Dealer of Excellence
  • 3 Years: Gold Dealer of Excellence
  • 4 Years: Platinum Dealer of Excellence
  • 5 Years or More: Diamond Dealer of Excellence

Certification is designed to highlight select dealerships for their commitment to customer service and assist dealer managers in differentiating their stores from local competitors. From the customer point of view, Dealer of Excellence is a stamp of approval that provides confidence in the new- and pre-owned-vehicle shopping experience.

JD Power 2026 Dealer of Excellence Program recognition is based on achievement of high scores from automotive manufacturer customer research and completion of an in-dealership best practices verification visit.
