Transfer Case Fluid Service

This important Service will replace the worn transfer case fluid with new fluid. The transfer case takes the output from the transmission and distributes it to the front and rear differentials. The transfer case is the beginning step of taking a conventional rear wheel drive system and converting it into an “all wheel” drive system. The transfer case fluid is subjected to extreme thermal load as it divides the transmission output torque between the two axles. This thermal load causes the fluid to break down and to lose its ability to properly lubricate and protect the transfer case components. The breakdown of the fluid is accelerated by driving in Metropolitan Areas (such as Atlanta). By servicing the transfer case and replacing the transfer case fluid, RBM helps the Customer avoid transfer case problems in between their regular scheduled Service visits. This Service will also help to prolong the life expectancy of the transfer case components.

Recommended at every 40,000, 80,000, 120,000 and etc. mile interval. Recommended in conjunction with RBM Transmission Service.
