Advanced Seat Style
Both Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Sedans come standard with a multitude of features for the front seats. Heated and ventilated multicontour front seats that can be adjusted 12 ways are able to store 3 memorized seat patterns, so you’re always in the perfect position. Ten different massage patterns to choose from ensure ultimate back and shoulder comfort, some with heat to stimulate a hot coal massage.
Perfect Climate Control
Four-zone automatic climate control allows for personalized comfort for each side of the cabin, whether you are in the front or the rear. Standard Air Balance cabin-air purification and fragrance systems guarantee that air is clean and purified, accompanied by a light mist of scent. Front-cabin ENERGIZING Comfort utilizes all luxury features, including climate control, ambient lighting, audio, massage features and more based on 10-minute programs depending on your mood.
Entertainment Systems
A 12.8-inch OLED central touchscreen display is paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster so information is easily accessible. Burmester® High-End 4D Surround Sound System joins up with Dolby Atmos and Apple Spatial Audio to make every ride feel like a concert. A third tablet is included in the rear cabin, and is charged and docked behind the cupholders. This tablet can be used while docked or handheld to control the MBUX Entertainment System and the rear cabin climate.
Rear Seat Luxury
The rear-cabin is no exception to the luxurious nature of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The rear seats are also heated and ventilated, massaging, and have memory to store favorite positions. Just like the front-cabin, ENEGIZING Comfort is able to make the vibe in the rear exactly what your passengers need.
INNOVATION AND SAFETY
Vehicle Technology
Mercedes-Maybach uses the Mercedes-Benz KEYLESS GO® technology so you can lock, unlock, and even drive your vehicle without ever taking your physical key out. The seamless door handles are flush with the S-Class’s exterior, and extend out when it’s time to unlock. The automatic soft-locking mechanism help to softly close the door the rest of the way all on its own. If you really find yourself in a pinch, you can use compatible iPhone® or Apple Watch® devices as a Digital Vehicle Key. This allows you to unlock, lock, and even drive your vehicle with your phone.
Driving Assists
Safety is a top priority for the S-Class sedans. ATTENTION ASSIST® is now enhanced with eye-tracking, so the vehicle will send you an alert when you need to take a brake. Active Distance Assists DISTRONIC® keeps you a safe distance away from the vehicle in front of you while in cruise control, and PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist is able to identify parking spots and actually steer, shift, and brake into the spot for you. Steering assists, braking assists, and visual assists all come standard on the S-Class Maybach models.
Augmented Reality and Cameras
Focused on convenience and ease of traveling, MBUX Augmented Reality for Navigation shows 3D video on the central screen so you can easily see turns and other useful information. In addition, the MBUX Augmented Reality Head-Up Display shows virtual images related to your current trip and vehicle on the windshield, so important information is always in your line of sight. Surround View System and dashcam means you can see around, in front, and behind your vehicle at all times.
Safety Features
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedan has 15 air bags throughout vehicle, including a front center air bag, rear seat air bags and Beltbags, and cushionbag seat-integrated air bags. Rain-sensing windshield wipers and MAGIC VISION CONTROL keep the window clear so your vision is never obscured.
DESIGN
Exterior Design
The S-Class sedan is immediately recognizable by the iconic Maybach grille with fine vertical chrome vanes. To compliment the grille, over 50 MANUFAKTUR exterior paint options in metallic or Magno options, as well as the option of two-tone paint work the Maybach brand is known for. For a more sleek and modern look, the Maybach Night Series Package sports dark chrome accents on the exterior.
Interior Design
Luxurious designs extend father than just the exterior. With different wood and metal trims with MANUFAKTUR options allow you to personalize your S-Class however you want. Exclusive Maybach pedals are finished in strong stainless steel with raised Mercedes-Maybach logos. For the ultimate open-cabin feeling, both S-Class models come standard with a large panorama sunroof. Covering the front and rear seats, the front window of the sunroof is able to tilt for a brisk breeze or fully open for more air.
Wheels
20-inch “full disc” designed Maybach wheels come standard, but there is always room for adjustment. Whether you would like a smaller wheel, larger wheel, or completely different design, there is a choice for you. Wheels come in 19, 20, and 21-inch sizes, and available configurations include 5-spoke, 7-spoke, multispoke, and monoblock designs.
Lighting
Both headlamps and taillamps are fully LED, quickly and efficiently lighting up the world around you. The interior cabin features approximately 300 LED lights, offering 64-color ambient lighting, bright and clear information displays, and subtle but luminous lighting in storages spaces and footwells.
PERFORMANCE
Engine
Performance does not suffer with the Maybach S-Class sedans. The S 580 model has a compact but powerful 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with hybrid assist. 496 horsepower 516 lb-ft of torque ensure a quick start and acceleration, achieving 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. The S 680 sports a 6.0L V12 biturbo engine, and emits a powerful 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. Eloquently fast, the S 680 can go 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.
Transmission
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedans shift gears using the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The 9-speed is light, versatile, and changes gears quickly. Shift paddles allow you to change gears manually, or use the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT that shifts the transmission based on the selected mode.
Suspension
AIRMATIC® suspension gives a balance and comfortable ride, offering a quicker response from a lighter suspension. AIRMATIC® technology also lowers the ride height at higher speeds to increase the aerodynamics. Incorporated into the suspension, the standard Adaptive Damping System adjusts the ride profile of each spring-strut based on the wheel direction.
Steering
10° rear axle steering is standard on both the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 and S 680 sedans, enhancing the agility, stability, and maneuverability. Steering up to 10 degrees can cut turning circle down by over six feet. Optional 4.5° rear axle steering is usable up to 37 miles per hour, and makes city driving more agile and nimble.
PACKAGES
Maybach Night Series Design Package
To achieve a sleek and modern look on the S-Class, the Maybach Night Series Design Package transforms the interior and the exterior of your sedan. All exterior chrome accents are darkened, including the tailpipes and grille. The headlamps have rose gold features, and a mesh motif is added to the exclusive Night Series wheels. 20-inches and finished in a dark chrome, seven thin radial spokes sit in front of the mesh Maybach design. The interior trim is natural-grain wood stained in a deep brown color with an aluminum herringbone pattern.
Executive Rear Seat Package
A backseat fit for royalty, with twin power seats and power calf and footrests. The luxurious wood trim wraps from around the backseat to the center console, equipped with a power-operated cover. Inside is the main storage compartment, rear climate controls, and heated/cooled cupholders. Active ambient lighting is integrated into the whole back seat, and folding tables are available for anyone in the backseat to work and have a proper space while on the go.
MANUFAKTUR Interior Package
MANUFAKTUR Nappa leather upholstery is available in five different colors and styles. This upholstery is fitted to all seats, the dash, front console, roof pillars, all armrests, as well as a two-tone steering wheel. The MANUFAKTUR logo is embroidered in the floor mats, headrest pillows, and in the rear shelf. The finishing touches include illuminated door sills and chrome MANUFAKTUR script on the console.
MANUFAKTUR Platinum or Gold Emblem Package
With the eloquent MANUFAKTUR logos, there is the option for the emblems to be either platinum or gold chrome. The plush and comfortable headrest pillows and high-pile floor mats are embroidered with gold or platinum-colored stitching. In addition, the animated logo projection lamps greet you as well as see you off whenever you exit your Maybach sedan.
