Sprinter Transmission Service
This important Service will replace the worn automatic transmission fluid with new fluid, filter, gasket, and drain seals. Automatic transmission fluid is subjected to very high operating temperature, friction load and contamination from normal amounts of clutch material wear. New fluid and filter are necessary to maintain proper shifting, as well as prolonging transmission life expectancy. The normal wear that occurs in all automatic transmissions is more pronounced (severe operating conditions) in Metropolitan Areas. Driving conditions in Metro Atlanta area are classified by Mercedes-Benz and RBM of Atlanta as being: “severe operating conditions”. This causes additional strain on the automatic transmission fluid. The constant up shifting and down shifting in traffic (especially in hot weather) causes the fluid to breakdown faster than in other driving conditions. By servicing the automatic transmission and replacing the worn fluid and filter, RBM helps the customer avoid transmission problems in between their regularly scheduled Services. This Service will also help prolong the life of the transmission, insuring less vehicle down time.
Recommended at every 40,000, 80,000, 120,000 and etc. mile interval.
